Its all go ....

Full of busy making wedding invitations for a family member, and have been learning lots of new things, pottery, glass fusing, painting, drawing all very exciting.

I have helped Helen Pailin along with other members of North Tyneside Art Studio make and install the exhibition at Tynemouth Metro Station, called Intertwine.  It has been designed by Helen and we have made objects using recycled audio and music tapes.  We have gone along the lines of crafts used when we were children, like, weaving, pompoms, sewing, crochet and dolly knitting.  Pop along and have a view it's very interesting.

I have also engaged in the 200 Fish project.  The project is about making people aware of the biodiversity of the North Sea and how we are impacting on the future of the North Sea and its habitat.

I keep challenging myself to stop me from falling into the darkness of depression and try to find things that I can do at a pace that suits me.  I am busy learning to draw and have loved the sketchbook sessions with Theresa at the Art Studio

Flu Jab - oh yay

Why do we do it ?  get the flu jab to prevent getting the flu only to end up out of action and not able to function properly because they have infected us with the virus we do not want to get lol ...

Enough of me feeling sorry for myself, I have been managing to get some colouring done using water colour paints, Copic alcohol markers and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

The following images were coloured by me using Copics alcohol markers ....

I love to create and colour and have been attending an art therapy group where I have been using clay and glass to be creative.  Here are a few of the things I have made...

My Favourite ....

Good morning, I am in the throws of sorting out my blog and the files on my computer and was amazed at some of the things I had made and forgot about.  Out of all the cards I have made in the past this is the one that stick out as my favourite.  It was for a one colour challenge and I was really pleased with the way it turned out.  I used promarkers to colour the Stamping Chef's image, and some crafty stash to finish it off.

I am getting back into my craft and have learned new skills, such as water colour, pottery/clay, glass fusing, glass soldering ie stained glass effect, lino printing.  I am hoping to incorporate these in with my regular crafting.  Watch this space and follow me on my journey...
