My Time To Craft - 7th August Challenge - #438 Travel

Hi  again crafty peeps

First let me remind you to pop over to My Time To Craft to find out who the winners are for challenge #437.

The theme for this challenge is travel and it can be cars, trains, planes, hot air balloons, camels etc...

I chose to do a peek- a boo card using the dies from Motion Crafts.  The paper I used was from a pad I purchased from The Works called 'World Map', and for £2.00 it was a bargain especially as there are 24, 15 x 15 sheets, with a weight of 200gsm and 12 designs .  The washi tape was also a bargain from Hobby Craft for 25p.  The stamp Bon Voyage is a freebie out of a magazine.  I wouldn't say I'm a frugal crafter but I do love a bargain lol.  The boat, cloud, birds and sea stamps are from Kanban crafts. I used Glossy accents on the Bon Voyage, and card from my stash.

Till next time, take care and stay safe.

My Time To Craft - 24th July Challenge # 437 - Summer Wedding

Hello my fellow crafters.

Todays theme is all about a Summer Wedding so the options are endless.  I went for a more old fashioned traditional look.  I embossed the card, then using my water coloured pencils from Arteza. I began by colouring the roses, then went over them gently with water pen, then continued with the leaves.  I love the effect that it gives.  I then stamped the sentiment and added contrasting ribbon along the bottom.

Don't forget to pop over to My Time To Craft to find out who won #436 challenge and check out the awesome makes from the DT members.

Good luck every one, till next time, take care and stay safe.

Mindful Journey

I would like to invite you all to come on a mindful journey with me. I have been invited to look at these mindful products and thought you might like to try them with me.

I've always loved the thought of art journaling and have had a taste of art therapy, so with the use of these mindful cards (LSW Mind Cards) I am setting off and invite you to hop on board.

There are 45 cards divided into five different categories which are:
  • Reflection
  • Kindness
  • Gratitude
  • Ritual
  • Journal
The idea is you shuffle the cards and each day you choose a card and follow the instruction. By doing this on a daily basis it should have a positive impact and by writing in your journal you will be able to look back and see how your mindset has changed.

I have already shuffled the cards, shown on the video and chose the first card for today, which is shown at the end of the video. Please feel free to invite your friends and family to join in, the more the merrier.

Its another way of helping us through this pandemic. and all you need is a pen and note book, colouring pens pencil of you want to be creative.  It would be great if you can post your answers or illustrations, but its OK if you don't want to share.  Let me know what you think and if you feel more comfortable I can set up a group on Facebook specifically for this journey, otherwise post them on my facebook group https://www.facebook.com/judithmakes.

If you would like to purchase your own copy of Mind Cards you can do so here.  When you purchase your Mind Cards you can choose a guided meditation for free (normally £2.99), by using the code ' Meditation' at check out.

Take care and stay safe and I hope to see you on my journey.

My First Wiper Card

Morning,

I would like to share with you my first wiper card but first let me tell you how it came about.  I don't know if your aware but every friday Craft Stash has a live facebook and they have guest designers, tutorials, tips and hints and best of all the chance to win goodies.  Who doesn't like a giveaway!  Well that's where I saw Sam Calcott's wiper bundle and tutorial and thought how cool they looked and so I bought a set.

As is my normal way of working I find an image colour it and then decide what I'm going to make with it.  It just so happened I had just finished colouring in a few digi stamps I bought from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, so when I saw this set it gave me inspiration for Patricia's Duck .   Turns out its a very mucky duck..

I had a bit if frustration but also a lot of fun making this card....

Kinda Cute

OMG I was getting really frustrated with my computer as it just wouldn't print images in the size I wanted, nor would it find my other printer when I tried, so I decided it was time for a clean up on my computer, and the files I had duplicated were an eyeopener. I dare say I have many more duplicates, but there is only so much cleaning you can do before you go bog eyed lol.  I get easily distracted too, (that was a common theme on my school report) something caught my eye and off I went and I ended up on a canny site called Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  I like what I saw so decided to buy a couple of her digi's and dust the cobwebs off my Copic pens and get creative.

These are some of Patricia's Kinda Cute Digi's that I have been colouring ready for my next project's.  I used my copic pens on all of the images.

Here is one of my finished cards, using my copic pens to colour, background was downloaded from The Craft Blog by trimcraft and the sentiment is a bugaboo one and card is from my stash.

Till the next time take care, stay safe....
