Goodbye Paul gone but not forgotten x
As some of you know, we had some heart wrenching news on 8 November 2013. My husband lost one of his brothers suddenly and unexpectedly and we have all been in a bit of a turmoil getting things sorted out, organising the funeral etc. We had the funeral a week ago today and he had a really good send off, we celebrated his life not his death, which was what he would have wanted.. We had some somber music 'The sound of Silence' by Simon and Garfunkel going into the chapel,
They talked about his life and achievements and some of the fun stuff, and we left the chapel with the uplifting 'Ying tong' song by the Goons, which lightened the whole atmosphere and was right up Pauls street. The last song was a well kept secret and it was lovely to hear every one laugh as they left the chapel, smiling and remembering Paul.
For those of you too young to remember here it is ....

All in a Good Cause - Pulmonary Hypertension (PH)
BreAnn Mcfarland who is one of the ladies from Simply Betty Stamps had a double lung transplant nearly 11 years ago, which was cause by a disease called Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).
November is PH Awareness Month, and with that in mind Betty and Tamara from The Stamping Chef were both generous enough to draw an image for a blog hop this weekend - Nov. 9-10.
My understanding is you need to answer a question about PH at the end of the hop...the answer will be on one of the blogs in the hop! Then on Sunday evening join in a challenge to go along with the hop!
BreAnn is keen to spread awareness about this horrible disease, so she needs our help to get the word out about the hop! You will find the hop blinkie here, and if you share it on blogs, FB, Twitter, etc. and leave a comment telling them where you shared it, you will have a chance to win a great prize:

I am not sand to see the end of October and welcome November as it has been a sad month. So many memorials of loved ones past and new one's to add to the list.
Yesterday we said goodbye to my best friend Liz's mam, who I have known as Aunty Betty all my life.

- I embossed and rounded corners of piece of bright card and mat and layered onto card, using foam pads to raise the image up giving a more defined look.
- I put the black pearls on to offset and draw the attention into the centre and focusing on the image.

Here is what I made using the new image....
- Bought the tool box template from the silhouette store and cut it out using my Cameo machine.
- Coloured the image using my Promarkers.
- Mat and layered the sides of the toolbox before assembling.
- No glue used on handle as Kraft card was rolled and pushed through holes
- sides were glues with Collall and silver stickers put on to make look like rivets.
- The image was stuck on using foam pads.
WHAT YOU WAITING FOR ... GET OVER TO TSC BLOG ....... HAVE FUN
TSC Candles
I'm well chuffed with my first attempt to put digi images I have coloured onto candles.
This is how I did it...
This is how I did it...
- Printed images onto Neena card and coloured the digi images with Promarkers
- Attached a piece of white tissue to some card and put it in printer.
- Put coloured images in scanner and copied them onto tissue paper.
- I cut around the images leaving a fine border.
- Placed the image on the candle and cover in grease proof paper
- Make sure the GP paper is long enough so you can hold it tight at back keeping the image in place - (some people just glue image onto candle).
- Get your heat gun and gentle move it over your image, you will see it changing colour as the wax melts.
- Carefully pull the GP paper off and smooth any bubbles, if need be you can put the heat gun on candle without GP paper.
- Voila all done.
