My Time To Craft - 24th July Challenge # 437 - Summer Wedding

Hello my fellow crafters.

Todays theme is all about a Summer Wedding so the options are endless.  I went for a more old fashioned traditional look.  I embossed the card, then using my water coloured pencils from Arteza. I began by colouring the roses, then went over them gently with water pen, then continued with the leaves.  I love the effect that it gives.  I then stamped the sentiment and added contrasting ribbon along the bottom.

Don't forget to pop over to My Time To Craft to find out who won #436 challenge and check out the awesome makes from the DT members.

Good luck every one, till next time, take care and stay safe.

Mindful Journey

I would like to invite you all to come on a mindful journey with me. I have been invited to look at these mindful products and thought you might like to try them with me.

I've always loved the thought of art journaling and have had a taste of art therapy, so with the use of these mindful cards (LSW Mind Cards) I am setting off and invite you to hop on board.

There are 45 cards divided into five different categories which are:
  • Reflection
  • Kindness
  • Gratitude
  • Ritual
  • Journal
The idea is you shuffle the cards and each day you choose a card and follow the instruction. By doing this on a daily basis it should have a positive impact and by writing in your journal you will be able to look back and see how your mindset has changed.

I have already shuffled the cards, shown on the video and chose the first card for today, which is shown at the end of the video. Please feel free to invite your friends and family to join in, the more the merrier.

Its another way of helping us through this pandemic. and all you need is a pen and note book, colouring pens pencil of you want to be creative.  It would be great if you can post your answers or illustrations, but its OK if you don't want to share.  Let me know what you think and if you feel more comfortable I can set up a group on Facebook specifically for this journey, otherwise post them on my facebook group https://www.facebook.com/judithmakes.

If you would like to purchase your own copy of Mind Cards you can do so here.  When you purchase your Mind Cards you can choose a guided meditation for free (normally £2.99), by using the code ' Meditation' at check out.

Take care and stay safe and I hope to see you on my journey.

My Time To Craft - 26th June Challenge - #435 Colour on Kraft

Here we are again my crafty friends another 2 weeks of the you know what..., but glad we've got our crafts to keep us going.  The winners have been announced over at My Time To Craft for the last challenge, while your there check out the inspiration from fellow DT members.

The new challenge is about colouring on craft card, you can use any type of medium e.g. pens, pencils, water colours or acrylics to mention a few...

Here is what I made, having some of the key workers in mind.

The stamp I used is from Art Impressions.  I used archival ink to stamp onto the kraft card then coloured the image using my copic pens.  I then chose my background and sentiment from The Paper Tree Hope & Sunshine Paper Collection.  My go to glue that I like to use is Collall by Crafters Companion.

Kraft, black and white card were from stash along with foam pads.

Till next time, stay safe x

My Time to Craft -12th June Challenge # 434 'Summertime'

Hello my fellow crafters, I hope this finds you well and safe.

Winners from last challenge have been announced over at My Time To Craft.   Be sure to check out the DT makes to help inspire you.

This Challenge is all about summertime and this could be sand, beach, sea, ice lollies, ice cream etc.

I had fun with this one, as it sparked so many happy childhood memories.

I used Tattered Lace 'by the seaside' die which I cut using super smooth white card.  I snipped the border off the cut out image.  I then went on to colour the die cut with my copics   alcohol markers.  The sunshine die is from one of the many magazines I have, too may to go through to find out which one.  The background was card I had in my stash along with the white card.

I  have entered my card into the following challenges:

Angies Digital Stamps Challenge - CH. #43- AG/OPT TWIST SUMMERTIME
WWODTeam Challenge - Anything goes

Till the next time stay safe and take care x
